Summer is here and the fam and I are setting up our “official” summer menu. For us, summer and fun are synonymous. Living in South Florida, you don’t want heavy meals. So, we like to eat fun things that are light and tasty. The first thing my daughter asked for was grilled burgers with all the trimmings. We came up with something that everyone would enjoy…Â How To Create A Summer Burger Bar.
How To Create A Summer Burger Bar
Choose Your Meat
Like I said, living in South Florida, we like to keep it light. I found a great alternative to beef that is delicious, nutritious and carb conscious. JENNIE-O® has just come out with a whole line of great grilling options for summer recipes.
- JENNIE-O® 1/4 lb. Seasoned Turkey Burgers
- JENNIE-O® 1/3 lb. Turkey Bacon & Cheddar Turkey Burgers
- JENNIE-O® 1/3 lb. All White Turkey Burgers
- JENNIE-O® Turkey Breast Franks
Pick Out Some Tasty Toppings
This is where some creativity comes into play. Anyone can put out some ketchup, mustard or cheese. Try to grab items that are only in season during the summer or maybe go to a local farmers market and see what looks interesting. We decided to dice up a bunch of local peppers. They’re colorful and have a super yummy flavor with a lot of crunch.
Have Fun
This might be the most important step. There is no wrong way to create a burger masterpiece. Just start throwing things on top of each other. You never know what new flavors you might discover.
