Headaches and migraines are other pain that can be linked to general anxiety. One of the reasons for these pains is that someone with anxiety tends to clench or hold themselves tighter. Jaw pain, shoulder pain, and abdominal pain are other group of issues due to poor posture and holding or clenching the body.
4. OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder)
Obsessive-compulsive disorder is based on intrusive thoughts that bring on actions that may not seem right to those who are not experiencing them. OCD could be checking locks or repeating a saying or action to help keep your mind quiet about something bad that will happen if you do not do the action. Ritualistic actions can be number counting of things like steps or ceiling tiles, even people in front of you. This type of anxiety can reach every part of one’s life, including eating and hygiene
practices. Social situations can also have an impact on how someone approaches their worries using OCD techniques. Another common symptom of anxiety is skin picking or Dermatillomania.
